Britteny stood on the balcony rigidly, staring down at the newcomers like a hawk hunting its prey. Kailee emerged from inside and noticed this immediately.
"The hell are you doing?"
"Whuh?" Britteny kept staring.
Kailee waved her hands in front of Britteny's face rapidly, making her flinch. "You're fixed on them!"
"Well, I can't help it!" Britteny exclaimed. "You know why they're here. You can't possibly tell me that you're just ignoring it."
"What's to ignore?" Kailee asked. "They're just little newbies, that's all. Confused. Easily manipulated. Ready to ex

My Boyfriend, the Vampire Pt 4
Later that night, as Damien drove me home, realization struck.
Oh my gosh. I just killed Draculas son, I glanced over at him, with the help of his other son.
Oh yeah, dad wont be too happy when he finds out about that, shrugged Damien. Dont worry, I should be able to throw him off of our trail for a while.
But what happens when he does find out? I was panicking, I know, but we had just killed Draculas son. I shuddered to think of what would become of us when we were discovered.

Damien didnt miss homecoming. He was there, sitting alone, only talking to Blain. I tried to have fun, but was unnerved by his presence. Once, I even saw him gesture towards me. I checked to make sure my wooden stake was secure underneath my dress.
The third slow dance of the night was Avril Lavignes Keep Holding On- our song. I knew from the previous weeks that I couldnt hear that song without bawling. So, I left, telling my friends Id see them Monday.
I was almost off of the dance floor and out of the gym, when I felt a hand rest on the small of my back. Thinking it w

The next several days before homecoming, I took to keeping a wooden stake strapped to my inner thigh, just in case Damien should try to bite me. He didnt seem the type to, but he didnt seem like a vampire either, so my character judgment was clearly faulty.
I saw him in the hallways frequently, but our conversations were wordless. He pleaded for forgiveness with his eyes and I rejected him again and again by looking away. Once my friends had gotten wind of the breakup, a whole twenty seconds after I emerged from the girls bathroom, they had done nothing but try to convince me to go to the homecoming with t

When Damien asked me out at the start of the school year, I was ecstatic. I men, who wouldnt be, with those eyes, so blue you could swim in them and that deep, soothing voice that you couldnt help but trust? Plus, he was the schools star running back. He was a sharp contrast to his brother, Blain, whose eyes were hard and cold, his body pale, and his scowl dismissive.
Amazingly, we stayed together all the way until homecoming in October. The day after they announced the date and theme (A Night on Mount Olympus, in case you were wondering), Damien pulled me into an empty classroom during lunch.

The boulevard stretched out before Laneys feet, its length lost in the faint golden blur of lamplight and night time mist. The bleak silhouettes of winter-bare trees jutted starkly into the glowing auras of the lamps. A light rain had fallen not long ago, Laney still bearing the dusting of silver droplets on her hair as testimony, and the air was clear and icy-fresh, tinged slightly with the smell of wood smoke and burning lamps. Winter had emptied the boulevard of its many summer-time lovers, and the night had emptied it still further. There was a faint tap of a cane on cobbles, and a distant couple walked thought the mist, too far awa
Lusapick Kirn stood a broken man, before the horizan. So many times he had tried to bring himself to continue, to not give up, and yet so many times he did lose his will to continue. So many times he cursed HER. It seemed she was the only thing to move him. Kirn thought of the last he had drawn a smile across his square, slimming face, and remembered it had been at the thought of ripping her to pieces.

Gyron dived to the ground, along with half of the rest of the regiment, gritting his teeth as shrapnel burst all around him. Yet again, the odd little creature's warning had saved his life. They were hard things to understand most of the time, with their bizarre squeaking language that, as far as he could tell, consisted of the same sound used over and over again in different accents and tones, but if there was one thing a Puzzler was good at, it was giving a warning call. It made them very useful creatures to be around, especially in the trenches. In fact, it was getting to the point where people would pretend to know your fate out of hand e

The tender was a rough-looking man with a bald, tattooed head, but his voice and crooked grin were friendly enough.
Just a quart of ale.
With a nod, he left to fix her drink, and she began inspecting the purses of the people at the bar. Halfway down was a scruffy character with a nice, plump satchel tied to his belt. He looked to be too lost in conversation with a somber dwarf to notice her coming. She slipped up beside him and had just about loosened the knot when a gloved hand grabbed her wrist. Her stomach hardened and shrunk down to the size of a hazelnut when her eyes followe
A young warrior spun on his heal outside the birthing tent, responding to the wails of his newborn child. Thrusting a set of withered hands firmly against his chest, she halted his progress.

Mountains to the east arose above the clouds, as the sun was only beginning to make its trek across the sky. Sand crunched under the light foot of a trained warrior. A Vacren flew over head, having tasted the scent of a meal. They were two numerous. It wouldnt get its breakfast that easy. Heat began to touch a bare leg, and its owner moved it into the shade of one of the other members of the party. It was nearly dawn. A dangerous time for everyone. A time where the guards eye gets a little heavier, and the Grenu begins to take its effect. Soon it would be time to move.

The frail old prophet grumbled to himself as he trudged along the flat, barren plain. Why under the hand of Opican does the wizard have to live so far from civilisation darn him? he muttered to himself.
He had been walking for hours now. His back was aching, his right leg had gone stiff from the long walk, his stomach was grumbling demanding food and he had no access to transportation. To top it all off, he had nothing better to look at than the fine, red sand that rippled beneath his weary feet.
It was urgent that he saw the Wizard immediately, the prophecy the Wizard and the Queen were working on had been invoked; u

It was an unusual rainy day in Efderwest, the kingdom of the elves the land of the massive forests. Efderwest was the typical sort of kingdom with fields vastly spread out with great green grass and plants as well as fruit trees. The rolling green hills made Efderwest look peaceful and calm, and those who thought that were completely right.
At the top of a perfectly topped hill was a magnificent castle with walls made of smooth bricks a foot thick with battlements lining the top wall. The windows were tall and curved that made the place look luxurious to live in. A luminous glow was coming from the top window then turned off again. The outli

Gongor stood alone in the archery ground shooting arrows at the targets hitting them perfectly; after all he was general of the archers. He collected all of his arrows and turned to set off for the barracks to rest. He was about half way out of the ground when three figures materialized out of the mist walking straight toward him. Instinctively he strung a arrow in to his long bow with incredible agility.
The men halted and stared. Two of the men were tall and thin while the other was shorter with a stocky strong body.
Relax elfin general one called out laughing.
